Story

It starts with understanding the brand’s DNA: its values, tone, visual language, and long-term goals. From that foundation, I craft a visual narrative that feels both familiar and fresh—one that connects with a new audience, but stays true to the brand’s core. With this story, I shape experiences that are memorable, easy to digest and emotionally compelling. Whether generating buzz with a bold market debut, creating playful educational tools, or weaving brand identity into a local setting, I’ve developed visual brand narratives that engage and inspire.

When the Rams were looking to move back to Los Angeles, they needed to convince the 32 NFL owners that the return made sense both emotionally and strategically. I was part of the team tasked with creating the centerpiece of that pitch—a video called ‘Coming Home’ – with a two-week timeframe!

We designed it to balance heart and business: weaving the team’s history, the scale of the LA market, and the vision for the future into one powerful story. My role was shaping the creative and the narrative so it wasn’t just a highlight reel, but an emotional anchor for the entire presentation.

The result? The vote passed unanimously. The video became the signature storytelling piece for the move, and it helped reestablish

the Rams’ identity in Los Angeles at one of the most pivotal moments in the franchise’s history.

Communicating to a stadium full of sponsors, advertisers and uncomfortable TX/OU football fans, the Cotton Bowl staff wanted to show off plans for the upcoming renovation – much needed changes to make gameday enjoyable. The video played on the scoreboard at the 2024 TX/OU football game, as well as leading the charge on social platforms, increasing Cotton Bowl and Overland exposure numbers by over 35%.

At Overland, the challenge was turning Dude Perfect's online adventures—like 100-pin bowling or The Impossible Shot—into engaging, real-world experiences. I led the conceptual design of a branded campus that would let visitors step into these moments and participate directly.

We envisioned life-sized, interactive games and an integrated campus layout so multiple experiences could be enjoyed seamlessly. The goal being to deepened brand loyalty, increased social sharing, and gave fans a memorable, immersive connection to the brand’s humor and personality.

Whatever the look may be – photoreal, stylized, cinematic, etc. – communication is key. This video is one of my favorites as it cut to the story and cut through the noise during gametime commercial break. The American Airlines Center was announcing upgrades on all video boards to coincide with season ticket renewals, and needed an exciting way to inform potential purchasers of the value in renewal.

The city of Grand Praire, TX was getting an overhaul – becoming more of a destination location for central TX. Epic Waters, an indoor water park with retractable roof, was to be the anchor. Our job was to illustrate its look, feel and one-of-a-kind, looping waterslide to the community to create excitement and generate funding. This image – along with others and a video – were the icing on a sales package that easily captured the votes needed for funding.

French Federation of Rugby

— MY ROLE

Visualization (modeling, lighting, texturing, post)

When HKS Architects was approached by the French Federation of Rugby, we were tasked with convincing multiple, regional rugby communities (fans and teams alike) to unite in a consolidated, shared home. This image – with several others – became the foundation of a marketing package, designed to move those very separate and territorial audiences.

As a side note, this image was published in Ballistic’s Expose 11, which celebrates digital artwork worldwide.

Developing a ski resort in the wilderness of Wasatch, UT has a host of complications…not the least of which is exciting potential homebuyers, while allaying concerns of environmental impact. I led a team of artists in creating a presentation package that illustrated the style and comfort of the resort, as well as how it reflected the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Despite a lagging construction timeline, these images and accompanying video reassured and excited current homebuyers, as well as providing the needed push to sell all remaining inventory.

US Bank Stadium, Minnesota Vikings

— MY ROLE

Visualization

The magic of HKS designers was their ability to forge an iconic, physical manifestation of a team’s or company’s brand. They created stadia and venues that changed the landscape for the sports and entertainment, designing iconic homes for the likes of the LA Rams, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Vikings and TopGolf. Working in constant concert with architectural designers, my team was charged with visualizing design, function and activation, communicating intent throughout the production pipeline. We brought these fantastic visions to life, immersing audiences in detail, beauty and spectacle.

When the new CFL Mosaic Stadium was announced, there was concern amoung long-term ticket holders that all the nostalgia would be lost…they wouldn’t recognize their home away from home. Working with the HKS interiors team, I infused the new club design with heartfelt memories of the past – like colorful floorboards from the old bleachers – to keep the story alive.

— MY ROLE

With all the renovations coming, the Cotton Bowl sales team wanted to start selling/renting spaces as soon as possible. Visualizing the space armed the sales team with the tools needed to leverage sales opportunities months before the architecture changed.
